He grew up in Kund, Uttar Pradesh, where he finished his schooling. In 2008, he joined CRAFT Film School in Delhi to study Action and Styling. While studying, he developed a deep interest in costume styling. His work was noticed by a visiting teacher from the National School of Drama (NSD), who invited him to help with costume design for a theatre play. This opened doors for more theatre and short film projects where he worked on both costume and character looks.

In 2010, Ravi moved to Mumbai and worked on his first television show, Ganesh Lila. Wanting to grow further, he took the entrance exam for NIFT in 2011 and was selected. He studied fashion design at the NIFT Kangra campus in Himachal Pradesh.

During his studies, Ravi interned with known designers like Abhinav Mishra, where he worked with eco-friendly fabrics and designs. He also worked with top designers like Manish Arora and Amit Agrawal, learning about garment shapes, fabric surface work, and embroidery.

In 2015, he worked on a fashion show with Lalit Dalmia, where he focused on making designs more attractive through pattern making and creative styling. His final project at NIFT was inspired by carnivorous plants, and he created a futuristic garment using lights and sensors, which received attention at the college fashion show.

After finishing college in 2016, Ravi worked at a buying house, where he understood what people look for in clothes for different events like festivals, parties, or daily wear. This experience made him think about what truly suits a person—not just by trend, but by personality.

He moved back to Mumbai to follow his passion and got a chance to work as a Costume Designer in the Bollywood film Rock On 2. Since then, he has worked in many areas such as costume design, art direction, set design, and styling for films and events. He carefully creates complete looks for characters, including clothes, shoes, bags, and jewellery.

Ravi now runs Ravi Pratap Singh Studios, where he and his team help clients find outfits that match their personality and event needs. The studio offers full styling services for both men and women, including clothes, accessories, and personalized fashion advice—all under one roof, with good quality and fair prices.

Ravi believes fashion is not just about clothes—it’s about telling your story. He continues to design with passion, creativity, and a personal touch, making sure every client feels confident and unique.
